Womania’20 Celebration

To celebrate Women’s Day on 8.3.2020, Sunday the Women Empowerment Cell of Saranathan College of Engineering organized Womania 2020. The function was from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM.

Ms. M. Sindhu, Proprietor of MS Design House was the guest of honour for the function. Dr.N. Gayathri, Gynaecologist of Shyamala Nursing home graced the occasion with her presence and honoured our chief guest with a memento.

Ms. M. Sindhu’s address focused on self care, perseverance and on how one should celebrate oneself. She enlightened the gathering with her thoughtprovoking speech on the qualities to be developed by every woman – qualities such as perseverance, being trustworthy and believing in oneself.

She added, "It's okay to have flaws" and "that every time one need not to be perfect". She stressed on "what you think about yourself is more important than what others think about you."

Ms. Uma Valavan was our special guest invitee who graced the occasion with her presence.

Various events like Mehendhika, Rhythmic Queen (solo & group), Beat Busters (solo &group),Shades of Colour, Cuisine Funda, Picturesque, Brush & Blush, Pen it down, Dubstar, Pirates Hunt were organised . The participation was enthusiastic and in large numbers. The winners of the various events were awarded Prizes.

Ms.Padma Shruthi of third year ECE delivered the welcome address and Ms.Mahalakshmi of third year ICE proposed the vote of thanks. Students and staff members from all the departments actively participated in various cultural events and enjoyed the program.
