Two Days Skill Development Workshop on PCB routing Design and Fabrication-2013

About the Workshop

A first of its kind knowledge sharing initiative, two-day skills development workshop in our college, on PCB designing and fabrication, an all in one complete module, on converting a white paper schematic to functionally working PCB, organized by IIPC-EEE (Institute-Industry Partnership Cell), Department of EEE with the following objectives

  • Knowledge sharing within the department
  • Impart the necessary skills to the participants, that is required to convert a white paper schematic to a working PCB
  • Share the knowledge on PCB designing learnt by final year PG students over a period of time
  • Transfer of knowledge skills on PCB designing to the next batch of students
  • Achieve self reliance in designing and fabricating a PCB for a given circuit by all participants

Best PCB Contest

Encouraging prizes will be awarded to the participants for the best PCB design and fabrication, by the industry partner GRK electronics

    Expected Outcome of the workshop

  • All the participants becoming self reliant and confident in designing and fabricating a PCB by their own for a given circuit
  • Leverage the skills on PCB designing in implementing and realizing some basic analog controllers used for drives that could enhance the understanding level on subject in current semester and to come out with a mini project.
  • Utilize the skills for academic project work (phase-1 and 2) to achieve indigenous implementation without a need for external support

Target participants

First year PG students shall participate in this workshop. A separate workshop could be planned for final year UG students after this, as the numbers of participants need to be limited as it is a skills development workshop which requires individual attention of each participant with dedicated resource men as well as materials.

Course Fees

There will be a nominal course fees which is collected in order to get a firm commitment from the participants apart from meeting the part of expenses on consumable/tools specifically required for each students participating in the workshop. Based on the above, the subsidized fee is fixed as Rs. 450 per student.
